Michael is a seasoned executive with a distinguished career spanning both military and corporate sectors. A decorated US Army veteran, he served two tours as a Combat Medic on the Korean DMZ and during Desert Storm. His commitment to service extends beyond his military tenure, as evidenced by his involvement in numerous philanthropic endeavors.
With a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Arizona and advanced OSHA 500 training from the University of Cincinnati, Michael brings a robust blend of strategic acumen and operational expertise to his role. His experience as a Trainer in Suicide Prevention in Construction underscores his dedication to employee well-being and safety.
Michael is a proven leader with a strong belief in the principles of Unity of Direction and Unity of Command. His hands-on management style, characterized by "Management by Walking Around," emphasizes coaching, mentoring, and open communication. He is a firm advocate for accountability and believes in the adage, "Don't Expect What You Don't Inspect."
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Michael is a dedicated community member. He serves on the boards of the Joe Kocur Foundation for Children, the Ted Lindsay Foundation, and CATCH (Caring Athletes Together for Children's Hospital). His passion for giving back is further exemplified by his role as Director of Communications for the LPGA Meijer Classic Celebrity Pro-Am.
