Responsible for technical support ultimately leading to positive outcomes in fabrication, installation and customer operation incorporating best practices, sound business ethics and conforming to our published policies and procedures. Plan and coordinate activities to assure that goals for objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget by performing the following duties.

  • S.M.E. Degree preferred.
  • Must have minimum ten years plus technical experience in conveyor design, engineering, manufacturing, and installation methods as well as skills necessary to lead and mentor technical professionals

  • Technical skills in natural physics, including work force, energy, time and distance calculations

  • Supervise, coordinate and direct Engineering staff.
  • Work with project management to review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  • Conduct weekly Engineering reviews discussing percentage of work complete, hours used, hours to go, and exchange information with project manager.
  • Acquire or provide technical advice and help resolve project problems and be a resource to the project manager, customer, sub-contractors, vendors, etc.
  • Schedule and review labor assignments and requirements for assigned projects.
  • Direct and integrate required technical resources such as 3-D CAD, CAE, FEA, etc.
  • Direct, review, and approve product design and changes.
  • Develop and implement Engineering policies, standards and procedures.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, studies and findings to our customers.
  • Set technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management.
  • Ensure that Engineering staff is proficient and trained.
  • Ensure that both customer engineering specifications and DMW engineering specifications for all self-performed and sub-contracted work are met and/or exceeded.
  • Report all Engineering non-conformances to the Engineering Manager.
  • Occasional travel to customer job sites for meetings or for troubleshooting.
