Responsible to interact with the customer, Vice President and/or project managers to successfully establish project estimates / budgets and associated extra work costs through project duration.

Central Estimating Manager


  • Approximately two years experience with automotive conveyors and related material handling equipment or tooling projects.
  • Must be computer proficient in Microsoft office software package.
  • Must be knowledgeable in soliciting and analyzing vendor prices.
  • Must have a well-rounded knowledge of the company‚Äôs standard products and procedures.
  • Must be proficient in the use of company software and CAD requirements.



  • Attend bid meetings at a given customer location.
  • Develop sub contractor bid list with Central Estimating Manager and Vice President / project manager.
  • Work with IT Department to ensure bid packages are copied to FTP site and sent to bidders in a timely fashion.
  • Responsible for setting up proposal forms and check for accuracy.
  • Develop a bid proposal book containing all the backup information to support the proposal to be submitted to the customer. This involves estimating sheets, soliciting of subcontractor bids, purchased items and all associated material directly related to the proposal.
  • Responsible to receive and evaluate sub contractor proposals with the Central Estimating Manager and Vice President / Project Manager.
  • Ensure that all information is passed onto the proposal administrative assistant well ahead of the bid due date for the development of the electronic file.
  • Review proposal with the designated Vice President / project manager and/or Central Estimating Manager before proposal submittal.
  • Support / maintain company standard pricing.


  • Provide back up support for the proposal administrative assistant when necessary.
