(Taylor, MI) Utilize engineering knowledge and experience to monitor and determine root cause for product complaints and quality rejections for material handling systems and tooling cells. Facilitate cost of non-conformance reviews and root cause investigations to ensure compliance with engineering, design and performance specifications and environmental regulations. Review plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to meet safety requirements. Maintain process documentation, including process flow charts, characteristic matrices, process illustrations, PFMEA’s, SFMEA’s and manufacturing control plans for material handling automotive mechanical conveyor components and systems. Formulate corrective actions and assist with troubleshooting processes. Interface with OSHA and the DEQ on compliance issues, reporting, tracking and maintaining safety statistics. Develop and engineer process documentation as required by the organizations’ quality management system and OSHA. Ensure consistency of quality and engineering processes with company policies and procedures. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field and two years of engineering experience with material handling systems and tooling cells required.
